Nairobi County

Garden City will be Kenya’s first integrated residential, retail and office development.

On a 32-acre site, located between Junction 7 and Junction 8 on Nairobi’s Thika Road, a new community is taking shape:

  • 420 apartments/town houses
  • The largest retail mall in East Africa at 50,000 sq. metres; home to national and international brands including the first Game store in Kenya
  • 20,000 sq. metres of office space
  • 3-acre central park open to all with a dedicated events stage

This $250m project is backed by sub-Saharan Africa’s most experienced real estate developer, Actis. Like other Actis projects, Garden City has sustainability at its core and will be the first mixed-use development in East Africa to gain LEED certification. In July 2013, Garden City was granted Vision 2030 status by the Kenyan Government, recognising its potential as a retail, leisure and business hub for East Africa.

Garden City – the perfect mix.
